12. Slides: Saucepan's (1&2) These
two slides I learnt from fiddle player Tom Carrol of Kiskeam. Tom learnt
these tunes from his fiddle teacher, the late Daniel Hartnett from
Knockanaer, Tournafulla. His nickname was Saucepan. He taught a lot of
music in the Rockchapel and Tournafulla district.

Brilliant tunes, played brilliantly. Great recording too - well worth listening with headphones to take advantage of the stereo fun.

Bright and skipping songs that foreground the sound of the banjo and fingerstyle guitar in music that feels timeless. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 5, 2020
